National Crafts and Designs Fair, Dublin (December annually)

The National Crafts and Designs Fair is held in Dublin every year and takes place in the first week of December. This fair showcases some of the best artists, designers and craftsmen from across Ireland; it also draws several artists from Europe and the US.

The National Crafts and Designs Fair usually takes place in the Main Hall of the RDS in Dublin and is considered to be a great launching platform for new artists and designers. The fair draws several exhibitors who put up stalls and display their wares in the Industries Hall and the Balcony.

The RDS is located at Ballsbridge, Merrion Road Dublin 4, which is in between Merrion and Anglesea Roads in the Ballsbridge area. Travellers will find that the venue for the fair is convenient located only a mile away from the city centre. With over 500 designers, craftspeople and artists setting up stalls at the National Crafts and Designs Fair, the National Crafts and Designs Fair is considered to be a great place for Christmas shopping.

Shopping enthusiasts will enjoy browsing through the exhibits which feature an assortment of craft items including jewellery, handicrafts and curios. The exhibition usually lasts for five days, beginning at 9 am and going on till 6 pm, giving visitors more than enough time to familiarize themselves with the various exhibitors.

Of all the exhibitors attending the event, the most popular companies that set up stalls at the National Crafts and Designs Fair include Glass on Metal, Eamon McCaffrey, Corrine Hills Botanical Illustrator, Gifted By Nature, Black Forest Handcrafts and Traditional Toys and Dingle Linens.
