Dublin is home to over 60 golf courses which are more than capable of challenging both beginners and professionals. Most of the courses around Dublin are parkland courses, many of which are world famous. Dublin also has some of the best links in all of Ireland.
The best golf courses around Dublin include the Portmarnock Golf Club, the Royal Dublin and the Portmarnock Golf Links. Of these three, Portmarnock which was established in 1893 is by far the most famous and exclusive course and has hosted many international events through the years.
Players desirous of playing at the Portmarnock Golf Club are advised to book well in advance, since the club favours members and has a limited number of public tee times here. The Royal Dublin Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland and is very scenic. The Portmarnock Golf Links is located right next door to the Portmarnock GC and its course has been known to challenge even the most experienced players.
